As busy as we are at PlugRush, we wanted to share our tips on how you can stay on top of things during this time of the year. These pointers are applicable to both advertisers and publishers in our traffic network.
It’s 7 days until Xmas and we’re getting closer to 2019. This can be a really stressful time of the year. Everybody is rushing to get things done like there’s no tomorrow.
So what do you do when you’re wrapping up your 4th quarter of 2018 and you have a long list of private stuff you’d like to do? And at the same time run your online business?
We’ll leave you to figure out the private stuff but, on the other hand, wanna give you some useful tips on how to stay on top of things. Here’s how you can manage more effectively this time of the year while handling your online business and our traffic network.
The infamous to do list
Just thinking about all the things that you need to do can be a source of anxiety. So take the time and put it on paper. Create a list of all the things you need to do in order to prepare your time off. A starting point would be to:
- Create a list of campaigns in GEOs that celebrate Xmas in December vs campaigns in GEOs that celebrate Xmas in January vs campaigns in GEOs that celebrate other holidays!
- Prepare creatives: landing pages, banners, natives, push according to holidays
- Add websites with push notification traffic
- Prepare offers that can go on push notification traffic – adult and mainstream
- Email so and so and recommend PlugRush – get that sweet referral bonus
- Mind what bonuses are coming your way that you can use
Mark your calendar, the right way
Every to do list is useless if it doesn’t contain a date on it. Once you’ve completed your list, put the mark on your calendar. Make sure that you leave enough time to do all the things and also to make time for your personal to do list. Also, keep in mind when loading/withdrawing funds! Depending on what payment methods you’re using, check out the holiday working hours of your bank!
Bake one cookie at time
Don’t worry, the kids are making those for the reindeer. We’re talking about the cookies on your to do list. Those ain’t gonna bake themselves. You know your recipe and how long will each task take you to complete. So, take your time, create one at the time and do it right. That way the full pleasure of finishing your tasks, doing it right and in a timely fashion will feel just as good as a sweet crunchy chocolate chip cookie.
Set that budget and don’t stick to it
When it comes to your business during this time of the year, sticking to your budget can be actually a bad idea. Take advantage of the fact that the rest of the world is now actually more into buying whatever it is you’re selling: offers you’re promoting or traffic that you own. Less isn’t more during holidays. You don’t want to miss out on an opportunity to have more conversions nor to have less traffic sold, right?
We’re not saying go and spend every penny you’ve got. Use the statistics to pinpoint the traffic that is converting in your favour and bid higher/up the budget. Likewise, use the statistics to figure out what part of your traffic is your best source of income and send more of that traffic!
Dear Santa, I was bad but..
When it comes to your online business, take this time to reflect what you did good and what you kinda messed up. You can always strive to be better so we want to help you be more productive during the holidays.

Not only do you get to touch base with some of the cool guys, but you’ll also get inspired by some of them. Hearing about their 2018 journey, the ups and downs can spark some ideas!
